We have been working on the XP-19 project for 3 years now, this year the first boat out of a form was completed and brought to Lake Dümmer. What can I say, it sails perfectly! It's no problem that the bow is a bit out of the water. The boat just sails great, it accelerates well, runs a good height, is stable in the water .The steering is so light that even in a stiff breeze it can be controlled with two fingers, and also sails to windward very easily.
The in- and outside of the XP-19 was developed/built with great care = Ram protection in front; high quality jib furler front Bartels; Stern and bow basket; light but very stable rudder system; large cockpit with elaborate marine cork. Spacious, usable interior for the size of the ship with plenty of storage space; a well-thought-out, stable lifting keel system and high-quality interior.
The XP-19 was tested by German Yacht Magazin last year. The testers were thrilled with the sailing behaviour. They also found design, the room layout on and below deck and the overall concept to be a success. A English Version of the detailed test report could be down loaded here
